Before AWARENSS, Gabriel was a hybrid athlete, gamer, and lifelong music enthusiast growing up in San Jose, California. Bay Area hip-hop, hyphy, and rave culture formed part of the environment. Guitar, singing, and cover songs became the accessible route into music while early production software still felt too technical to master.

Five years in Australia changed that relationship. He built a complete production setup, committed to the repetitions, and made roughly one hundred tracks in a year. Composition, arrangement, mixing, mastering, and frequency balance stopped feeling like barriers and became part of one working language. Once he realized every necessary tool was already within reach, there was no excuse left not to pursue the work.

Now based in the Philippines, AWARENSS is developing inside a culture known for singers, musicians, and an increasingly visible DJ community. “Too Low” and “Back To You” are the opening chapter. The project is still finding its sound in public, one release at a time, with a simple purpose: make music capable of carrying someone else's memory.
